Great
circle map centered on the Falkland Islands.
The nearest non-South American country could be
New Zealand!

Another good day I think. Not as
exciting as the previous two but I worked several pages in the log. I also
managed to work 4X1RF. But it was a little weird as he was calling CQ for a good
twenty minutes but couldn't hear me I assume for most of that time. We eventually
worked but, I nearly gave up I can tell you. The highlight of the day was working
OE1UKL at 20:25 - he wasn't in for long though! This was preceded by a opening into 9A at good strength. Nothing from California
today however. I spent most of
today on CW and that made me realise how rusty I am! It's a good job that I
brought the instructions with me to set up the SuperKeyer for beacon mode.
I nearly worked Angelo, I2ADN
who came in at good strength but faded before I could get his report. I packed
up the beacon at around 18:00 local time and decided to go in search of the
Stanley Arms for a beer and to look up Mario, VP8ALJ who lives nearby. Remember
that I have a QSL card from Nick 5B4FL with instructions to get a from Mario?
Well, I couldn't track Mario down but I had a good evening in the Stanley Arms!
It seems that Mario had to go out so I hope that I would be able to see him
later in the week. Added countries 4X, S59 and OE.
